New Ropes is a newsletter providing insights, breakdowns, and perspective on the world of work, career and industry navigation, income generation, and the general nuances of trying to “find your calling.” It covers topics ranging from workforce developments and trending careers to the impact of economic events on different industries.

I, author and yours truly, Grace Richards, have struggled to find my correct “path” for my career and have tried out many different jobs. While I have worked professionally as a career coach and found fulfillment in this, I’ve also spent time in many other industries: Big-4 consulting firm, small city government, local non-profit, large international NGO, small businesses, restaurant chains, construction, sports entertainment, health and fitness, hospitality, and others, to name a few… and I’m 27.

I know a thing or two about switching careers and what’s out there. What I’ve learned is that what I truly enjoy and have a passion for is helping people get to where they want to go, and I have a few tools to help get them there.
